Our Predicament
The Republican attacks on democracy and generations of American progress shock us all. In Washington DC, in the Indiana State Legislature, and in LaPorte County, we see the damage.
Since 2010, the GOP has Gerrymandered Indiana heavily. In a democracy, we voters should choose our politicians, but Gerrymanders let the politicians choose their voters. The Indiana GOP seems ready to do worse.
As a result of Gerrymandering, the Indiana Democratic Party, at the State and County level, lacks resources. That makes it hard to recruit candidates. Too often, we’ve left some November ballot slots uncontested. And we can’t beat somebody with nobody.
Our Goal
We can win the November 2026 election, but we need to act NOW. We LaPorte County Democrats must identify and support strong Democratic candidates up and down the ballot.
Our Opportunity
We Democratic Activists of LaPorte County, acting as a registered PAC, are raising money to help recruit, encourage and support Democratic candidates for the 2026 Primary. All proceeds will provide start-up funding for strong, qualified candidates who file in the 2026 Democratic Primary. In this initiative, we work in cooperation with the LaPorte County Democratic Party. The Fund has already raised $3000 toward a goal of $10,000.
